Black Holes and the Holographic Principle
Larus Thorlacius

TL;DR
This paper reviews the black hole information paradox, explores proposed solutions in string theory, and introduces the holographic principle as a key concept in understanding black hole physics.
Contribution
It provides an accessible overview of the black hole information paradox and introduces the holographic principle, connecting string theory developments to black hole resolution strategies.
Findings
Holographic principle offers a new perspective on black hole information.
String theory contributes to resolving the information paradox.
The paper highlights key developments in black hole physics and holography.
Abstract
This lecture reviews the black hole information paradox and briefly appraises some proposed resolutions in view of developments in string theory. It goes on to give an elementary introduction to the holographic principle.
