Boundary fermion currents and subleading order chiral anomaly in the AdS/CFT correspondence
David Nolland

TL;DR
This paper constructs a wave-functional in AdS/CFT to compute bulk fermion contributions to the boundary chiral anomaly, revealing subleading order effects consistent with previous results in ${ m N}=4$ SYM.
Contribution
It introduces a wave-functional approach to calculate fermion-induced anomalies in AdS/CFT, capturing subleading order effects in the large N expansion.
Findings
The wave-functional accurately reproduces the subleading chiral anomaly contributions.
Results agree with Bilal & Chu's previous calculations.
Provides a new method for analyzing fermion effects in holographic anomalies.
Abstract
We construct a wave-functional whose argument couples to boundary fermion currents in the AdS/CFT correspondence. Using this we calculate the contributions from bulk fermions to the chiral anomaly that give the subleading order term in the exact -dependence of the chiral anomaly of SYM. The result agrees with the calculation of Bilal & Chu.
