Linking number from a topologically massive p-form theory
Marcio A. M. Gomes, R. R. Landim

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how the linking number of certain submanifolds in a D-dimensional space can be derived from a topologically massive BC theory in the low energy limit, connecting topology and field theory.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method to obtain linking numbers from topologically massive p-form theories, bridging topological invariants with field theoretical models.
Findings
Linking number derived from topologically massive BC theory.
Connection established between topology and field theory in low energy regime.
Provides a new perspective on topological invariants in higher dimensions.
Abstract
We show that the linking number of two homologically trivial disjoint and -dimensional submanifolds of a -dimensional manifold can be derived from the topologically massive theory in low energy regime.
