TL;DR
This paper reviews recent advances in higher spin field theory, exploring its connections with superstring theory and utilizing BRST methods to derive Lagrangians for various higher spin fields across different backgrounds.
Contribution
It introduces new BRST-based techniques for deriving higher spin Lagrangians in diverse backgrounds, linking higher spin theories with superstring frameworks.
Findings
BRST constructions enable derivation of higher spin Lagrangians
Connections established between higher spin theories and superstring theory
Applicable to flat and curved backgrounds of arbitrary dimensions
Abstract
We briefly review some modern developments in higher spin field theory and their links with superstring theory. The analysis is based on various BRST constructions allowing to derive the Lagrangians for massive and massless higher spin fields on flat or constant curvature backgrounds of arbitrary dimensions.
