Comment on "Light-front Schwinger model at finite temperature"
B. Blankleider, A. N. Kvinikhidze

TL;DR
This paper critiques a previous claim about differences in thermal Green functions in the Schwinger model, showing the discrepancy was due to an incorrect simplification of the fermion propagator in light-front quantization.
Contribution
It clarifies the correct form of the fermion propagator in light-front quantization, resolving the apparent discrepancy in thermal Green functions.
Findings
The difference in Green functions was due to an erroneous propagator simplification.
Correcting the propagator removes the discrepancy between quantization methods.
The study emphasizes careful treatment of propagators in thermal light-front calculations.
Abstract
In a recent paper by A. Das and X. Zhou [Phys. Rev. D 68, 065017 (2003)] it is claimed that explicit evaluation of the thermal photon self-energy in the Schwinger model gives off-shell thermal Green functions that are different in light-front and conventional quantizations. We show that the claimed difference originates from an erroneous simplification of the fermion propagator used in the light-front calculation.
