Static potential in a topologically massive Born-Infeld theory
Patricio Gaete

TL;DR
This paper calculates the static potential in a (2+1)-dimensional topologically massive Born-Infeld theory, revealing its equivalence to a modified QED3 with Thirring interaction at short distances.
Contribution
It introduces a gauge-invariant, path-dependent formalism to compute the potential, showing equivalence to QED3 with Thirring interaction in the short-range limit.
Findings
Potential matches that of QED3 with Thirring interaction at short distances
Uses gauge-invariant, path-dependent variables formalism
Provides insights into the interaction structure of topologically massive Born-Infeld theory
Abstract
For a (2+1)-dimensional topologically massive Born-Infeld theory, we compute the interaction potential within the structure of the gauge-invariant but path-dependent variables formalism. The result is equivalent to that of with a Thirring interaction term among fermions, in the short distance regime.
