A reality proof in PT-symmetric quantum mechanics
Patrick Dorey, Clare Dunning, Roberto Tateo

TL;DR
This paper reviews a proof confirming that certain PT-symmetric quantum systems have real spectra, using connections between differential equations and integrable models, and discusses related spectral equivalences.
Contribution
It provides a detailed review of a proof establishing the reality of spectra in PT-symmetric quantum mechanics and explores spectral equivalences inspired by this connection.
Findings
Confirmed the reality of spectra in specific PT-symmetric systems
Established spectral equivalences between different models
Linked differential equations with integrable models in quantum mechanics
Abstract
We review the proof of a conjecture concerning the reality of the spectra of certain PT-symmetric quantum mechanical systems, obtained via a connection between the theories of ordinary differential equations and integrable models. Spectral equivalences inspired by the correspondence are also discussed.
