Wess-Zumino Term in Tachyon Effective Action
Kazumi Okuyama

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the RR field source from boundary states matches a specific Wess-Zumino term in the tachyon effective action, providing insights into tachyon dynamics and RR charge conservation.
Contribution
It identifies a particular Wess-Zumino term in the tachyon effective action that reproduces the RR field source from boundary state calculations.
Findings
RR field source matches Wess-Zumino term predictions
Derived a simple expression for the S-charge of rolling tachyons
Established consistency between boundary state and effective action approaches
Abstract
We show that the source of RR field computed from the boundary state describing the decay of a non-BPS brane is reproduced by a particular form of the Wess-Zumino term in the tachyon effective action. We also obtain a simple expression of the S-charge associated with rolling tachyons.
