Mohammad R. Setare, Elias C. Vagenas

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the entropy of the Achucarro-Ortiz black hole, a two-dimensional black hole derived from the BTZ black hole, can be described by the Cardy-Verlinde formula, linking gravity and conformal field theory.
Contribution
It shows the applicability of the Cardy-Verlinde formula to the entropy of the Achucarro-Ortiz black hole, extending its relevance to this specific spacetime.
Findings
Black hole entropy matches the Cardy-Verlinde formula
Achucarro-Ortiz black hole is a two-dimensional extension of BTZ black hole
Conformal field theory description applies to this black hole
Abstract
In this paper it is shown that the entropy of the black hole horizon in the Achucarro-Ortiz spacetime, which is the most general two-dimensional black hole derived from the three-dimensional rotating BTZ black hole, can be described by the Cardy-Verlinde formula. The latter is supposed to be an entropy formula of conformal field theory in any dimension.
