Luciano Barosi, Carlos Tello

TL;DR
This paper explores the GSO(-) sector of open superstring theory using hybrid variables, constructing explicit vertex operators for tachyons and fermions, and evaluating their contributions to the superstring field theory action.
Contribution
It introduces explicit GSO(-) vertex operators within the hybrid variable formalism and incorporates the Ramond sector into superstring field theory calculations.
Findings
Constructed lower level GSO(-) vertex operators for tachyon and fermions.
Evaluated the contributions of these vertices to the superstring field theory action.
Discussed features of the resulting superstring field theory action.
Abstract
We consider the sector of the open superstring using the formalism with four-dimensional hybrid variables. This sector is defined by the world sheet hybrid variables with antiperiodic boundary conditions. The corresponding spectrum of states and conditions for physical vertices are described. In particular we construct explicitly the lower level vertex operators corresponding to the tachyon and the massless fermions. Using these new vertices, the tachyon and massless sector contribution to the superstring field theory action of Berkovits is evaluated. In this way we have included the Ramond sector and we end by discussing some features of the action
