Born-Infeld black hole in the isolated horizon framework
Nora Breton

TL;DR
This paper investigates Born-Infeld black holes within the isolated horizon framework, confirming their consistency with a heuristic model and suggesting their instability, thus contributing to understanding their physical properties.
Contribution
It demonstrates that Born-Infeld black holes align with a heuristic model for colored black holes and explores their stability within the isolated horizon framework.
Findings
BI black holes are consistent with the heuristic model.
The model indicates BI black holes are unstable.
Supports the use of the isolated horizon framework for BI black holes.
Abstract
In this work we probe the Born-Infeld (BI) black hole in the isolated horizon framework. It turns out that the BI black hole is consistent with the heuristic model for colored black holes proposed by Ashtekar et al [(2001) Class.Quant.Grav. v. 18, 919-940]. The model points to the unstability of the BI black hole.
