J. D. Edelstein, A. Paredes, A. V. Ramallo

TL;DR
This paper proposes a novel approach using gauged supergravity to resolve conifold singularities, offering a unified framework for smoothing out singularities in gravity duals of supersymmetric gauge theories.
Contribution
It introduces a new prescription for twisting in gauged supergravity to effectively resolve conifold singularities in gravity duals.
Findings
Gauged supergravity can be used to smooth out conifold singularities.
A novel twisting prescription is proposed for singularity resolution.
Unified picture for conifold singularity resolution is developed.
Abstract
We obtain a unified picture for the conifold singularity resolution. We propose that gauged supergravity, through a novel prescription for the twisting, provides an appropriate framework to smooth out singularities in the context of gravity duals of supersymmetric gauge theories.
