A simple mechanical analog of the field theory of tachyon matter
Sayan Kar

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a simplified, zero-dimensional model of tachyon field theory can describe a particle's motion under gravity with nonlinear damping, offering a new perspective on tachyon dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a zero-dimensional analog of tachyon field theory that models particle motion with gravity and nonlinear damping.
Findings
The model captures particle dynamics with quadratic velocity damping.
Provides an action integral formulation for tachyon matter analog.
Connects tachyon field theory to classical particle motion.
Abstract
In this brief note we show that the zero dimensional version of the field theory of tachyon matter proposed by Sen, provides an action integral formulation for the motion of a particle in the presence of Newtonian gravity and nonlinear damping (quadratic in velocity).
