The one-loop effective action for quantum electrodynamics on noncomutative space
Maja Buric, Voja Radovanovic

TL;DR
This paper calculates the divergent part of the one-loop effective action for quantum electrodynamics on noncommutative space, providing insights into quantum effects in noncommutative geometries up to second order in the noncommutative parameter.
Contribution
It introduces a calculation of the one-loop effective action for QED on noncommutative space, extending previous work by including second order terms in the noncommutative parameter.
Findings
Divergent part of the one-loop effective action derived
Effective action computed up to second order in theta
Methodology applicable to other noncommutative gauge theories
Abstract
In this paper we calculate the divergent part of the one loop effective action for QED on noncommutative space using the background field method. The effective action is obtained up to the second order in the noncommutative parameter theta and in the classical fields.
