M-theory, Cosmological Constant and Anthropic Principle
Renata Kallosh, Andrei Linde

TL;DR
This paper explores a theoretical framework linking M-theory and supergravity to dark energy, proposing an anthropic explanation for the small cosmological constant and the ratio of dark energy to matter.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach connecting M-theory with cosmological observations through anthropic reasoning.
Findings
Proposes a supergravity-based model for dark energy
Suggests anthropic principles explain the cosmological constant's value
Links theoretical physics with cosmological data
Abstract
We discuss the theory of dark energy based on maximally extended supergravity and suggest a possible anthropic explanation of the present value of the cosmological constant and of the observed ratio between dark energy and energy of matter.
