Casimir force between surfaces close to each other
H. Ahmedov, I.H. Duru

TL;DR
This paper investigates the Casimir force between various close surfaces, providing explicit calculations for different geometries to deepen understanding of quantum fluctuation-induced forces.
Contribution
It offers new explicit calculations of Casimir forces for co-axial cylinders, spheres, and cones, expanding the understanding of geometry-dependent quantum forces.
Findings
Explicit Casimir force formulas for cylinders, spheres, and cones
Demonstrates geometry's influence on Casimir interactions
Provides analytical methods for complex surface configurations
Abstract
Casimir interactions (due to the massless scalar field fluctuations) of two surfaces which are close to each other are studied. After a brief general presentation, explicit calculations for co-axial cylinders, co-centric spheres and co-axial cones are performed.
