TL;DR
This paper investigates a class of dyonic instanton solutions called supertubes that connect two D4 branes, representing monopole and antimonopole strings from the D4 brane perspective.
Contribution
It introduces and analyzes supertube solutions connecting D4 branes, providing new insights into their structure and interpretation as monopole and antimonopole strings.
Findings
Identification of dyonic instanton solutions as supertubes
Connection between supertubes and monopole/antimonopole strings
Enhanced understanding of D4 brane interactions
Abstract
We find and explore a class of dyonic instanton solutions which can be identified as the supertubes connecting two D4 branes. They correspond to a single monopole string and a pair of monopole antimonopole strings from the worldvolume view point of D4 branes.
