Uniqueness of (dilatonic) charged black holes and black p-branes in higher dimensions
Gary W. Gibbons, Daisuke Ida, Tetsuya Shiromizu

TL;DR
This paper proves the uniqueness of higher-dimensional charged black holes and black p-branes in static, asymptotically flat spacetimes, regardless of the vector-dilaton coupling, extending previous results to more general cases.
Contribution
It establishes the uniqueness theorem for a broad class of higher-dimensional (dilatonic) charged black holes and p-branes, regardless of the coupling constant.
Findings
Uniqueness of higher-dimensional charged black holes proven.
Applicability to a wide class of black p-branes demonstrated.
Results hold for arbitrary vector-dilaton coupling constant.
Abstract
We prove the uniqueness of higher dimensional (dilatonic) charged black holes in static and asymptotically flat spacetimes for arbitrary vector-dilaton coupling constant. An application to the uniqueness of a wide class of black p-branes is also given.
