Cosmological Brane Perturbations
Karim A. Malik

TL;DR
This paper compares two methods for analyzing cosmological perturbations in brane-world models, one using full 5D equations and the other employing effective 4D equations projected onto the brane.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of the 5D and 4D approaches to studying brane-world cosmological perturbations.
Findings
Both approaches yield consistent results in certain regimes.
The 4D effective equations simplify calculations while capturing key physics.
Differences arise in high-energy regimes or for certain perturbation modes.
Abstract
Two approaches to the study of cosmological perturbations in the brane-world scenario are compared: the first uses the 5D equations directly whereas the second approach projects them onto the 4D brane and then uses the effective 4D equations.
