J.G. Russo

TL;DR
This paper uses semi-classical string solutions in $AdS_5\times S^5$ to predict operator dimensions in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SU(N) SYM theory, exploring potential scaling violations.
Contribution
It introduces a method linking rotating string solutions to anomalous dimensions of gauge theory operators, providing insights into scaling violations.
Findings
Predicted operator dimensions from string theory calculations.
Identified potential origins of scaling violations.
Enhanced understanding of gauge/string duality mechanisms.
Abstract
Semi-classical soliton solutions for superstrings in are used to predict the dimension of gauge theory operators in SU(N) SYM theory. We discuss the possible origin of scaling violations on the gauge theory side.
