Elcio Abdalla, Adenauer Casali, Bertha Cuadros-Melgar

TL;DR
This paper investigates graviton shortcuts in a six-dimensional brane world with asymmetric warping, deriving conditions for shortcuts in specific bulk geometries and exploring their implications.
Contribution
It introduces a novel six-dimensional brane model with asymmetric warp factors and derives conditions for graviton shortcuts in complex bulk geometries.
Findings
Shortcuts exist under specific conditions in AdS-Schwarzschild and AdS-Reissner-Nordström bulks.
Numerical solutions demonstrate the feasibility of graviton shortcuts.
Implications for gravity localization and potential observable effects are discussed.
Abstract
We consider a six dimensional brane world model with asymmetric warp factors for time and both extra spatial coordinates, and . We derive the set of differential equations governing the shortest graviton path and numerically solve it for AdS-Schwarzschild and AdS-Reissner-Nordstr\"om bulks. In both cases we derive a set of conditions for the existence of shortcuts in bulks with shielded singularities and show some examples of shortcuts obtained under these conditions. Consequences are discussed.
