Threebranes in F-theory
Alastair Paulin-Campbell

TL;DR
This thesis explores the role of threebranes in F-theory to compute non-holomorphic corrections and analyze monopole solutions in N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach connecting threebrane configurations in F-theory with non-holomorphic corrections and monopole solutions in supersymmetric gauge theories.
Findings
Computed non-holomorphic corrections in N=2 SUSY theories.
Analyzed monopole solutions via threebrane configurations.
Established links between F-theory and supersymmetric gauge dynamics.
Abstract
This is a PhD thesis submitted to the University of the witwatersrand. The PhD focusses on the computation of non-holomorphic corrections and the study of monopole solutions in N=2 SUSY Yang Mills theories from the perspective of threebranes in F-theory.
