Correspondence Principle in a PP-wave Background
Miao Li (ITP&NTU)

TL;DR
This paper explores the relationship between string states and black holes in a pp-wave background, revealing significant differences from the flat spacetime case, and discusses the implications for the correspondence principle.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis of the correspondence principle in a pp-wave background, highlighting key differences from flat spacetime scenarios.
Findings
The correspondence point differs notably in a pp-wave background.
The string-black hole relationship is altered by the background curvature.
Implications for understanding quantum gravity in curved spacetimes.
Abstract
We discuss the correspondence point between a string state and a black hole, in a pp-wave background, and find that the answer is considerably different from that in a flat spacetime background.
