TL;DR
This paper develops a systematic method for describing gauge invariant charges, applying it to static color charges in QCD and monopole solutions in SU(2), introducing a new order parameter for monopole condensation.
Contribution
It presents a novel systematic approach to gauge invariant charges and introduces a new order parameter for monopole condensation in non-abelian gauge theories.
Findings
Gauge invariant description of static color charges in QCD
Construction of monopole solutions in SU(2)
Introduction of a new order parameter for monopole condensation
Abstract
A systematic approach to the description of gauge invariant charges is presented and applied to the construction of both the static colour charge configuration in QCD and the monopole solution in pure SU(2). The gauge invariant non-abelian monopole offers a new style of order parameter for monopole condensation.
