A note on noncommutative scalar multisolitons
Bergfinnur Durhuus, Thordur Jonsson

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in noncommutative scalar field theory on the Moyal plane, smooth interpolation between overlapping and infinitely separated multisolitons is impossible, highlighting a fundamental limitation of such solutions.
Contribution
It establishes a no-go result for the existence of certain multisoliton solutions in noncommutative scalar field theory.
Findings
No smooth interpolation between overlapping and separated multisolitons
Multisoliton solutions do not exist with certain boundary conditions
Highlights limitations in the structure of noncommutative solitons
Abstract
We prove that there do not exist multisoliton solutions of noncommutative scalar field theory in the Moyal plane which interpolate smoothly between overlapping solitons and solitons with an infinite separation.
