TL;DR
This paper investigates how gravity can be localized on branes within $AdS_5$ and $dS_5$ spaces, establishing conditions on the bulk cosmological constant for graviton confinement and exploring implications for cosmology.
Contribution
It derives specific limits on the bulk cosmological constant necessary for gravity localization on curved branes in $AdS_5$ and $dS_5$ spaces, expanding understanding of brane-world scenarios.
Findings
Gravity can be localized on $dS_4$ or Minkowski branes in $AdS_5$.
Gravity can also be trapped on curved branes in $dS_5$ space.
Derived bounds on the bulk cosmological constant for localization.
Abstract
We address the localization of gravity on the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker type brane embedded in either or bulk space, and derive two definite limits between which the value of the bulk cosmological constant has to lie in order to localize the graviton on the brane. The lower limit implies that the brane should be either or 4d Minkowski in the bulk. The positive upper limit indicates that the gravity can be trapped also on curved brane in the bulk space. Some implications to recent cosmological scenarios are also discussed.
