Taichiro Kugo, Keisuke Ohashi

TL;DR
This paper develops a superconformal tensor calculus framework for five-dimensional orbifold spacetimes, enabling consistent coupling of bulk supermultiplets to boundary matter fields in a superconformal invariant way.
Contribution
It introduces a method to induce 4D supermultiplets from 5D bulk fields on an orbifold and clarifies how to couple these fields while preserving superconformal symmetry.
Findings
Derived 4D superconformal Weyl multiplet from 5D bulk
Established a general coupling method for bulk and boundary fields
Clarified the structure of boundary matter multiplets
Abstract
Superconformal tensor calculus on an orbifold S^1/Z_2 is given in five-dimensional (5D) spacetime. The four-dimensional superconformal Weyl multiplet and various matter multiplets are induced on the boundary planes from the 5D supermultiplets in the bulk. We identify those induced 4D supermultiplets and clarify a general method for coupling the bulk fields to the matter fields on the boundaries in a superconformal invariant manner.
