Discussing the Spectrum of the Kalb-Ramond Field Coupled to 3D-Gravity
J.L. Boldo, J.A. Helayel-Neto, N. Panza

TL;DR
This paper investigates how torsion influences mass generation in the Kalb-Ramond field coupled to 3D gravity, showing torsion prevents mass gap formation while its absence allows for it, through 1-loop analysis.
Contribution
It demonstrates the role of torsion as an obstruction to mass generation in the Kalb-Ramond field within 3D gravity models.
Findings
Torsion obstructs 1-loop mass correction for the gauge field.
Absence of torsion allows a mass gap to form for the 2-form field.
Mass generation depends critically on torsion presence.
Abstract
The mechanism of dynamical mass generation for the gauge field is studied through 1-loop. We find out that torsion is an obstruction to the appearance of a 1-loop mass correction. Contrary, if torsion is not present, a mass gap is generated for the 2-form field.
