A quantum algebraic description of D-branes on group manifolds
Jacek Pawelczyk, Harold Steinacker

TL;DR
This paper introduces an algebraic framework using quantum algebras to describe D-branes on compact group manifolds, capturing their configurations, energies, and harmonic spectra within WZW models.
Contribution
It provides a novel algebraic approach based on quantum groups to model D-branes, encompassing both generic and degenerate cases, aligning with known physical characteristics.
Findings
Reproduces stable brane configurations in group manifolds
Accurately models energies and harmonic spectra of D-branes
Applies to both generic and degenerate branes
Abstract
We propose an algebraic description of (untwisted) D-branes on compact group manifolds using quantum algebras related to . It reproduces the known characteristics of stable branes in the WZW models, in particular their configurations in , energies as well as the set of harmonics. Both generic and degenerate branes are covered.
