TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how to derive anomalies in supersymmetric gauge theories associated with fractional branes on orbifolds directly from supergravity, linking gauge theory anomalies with their gravitational duals.
Contribution
It provides a novel method to compute gauge theory anomalies from supergravity for theories involving fractional branes on orbifolds.
Findings
Anomalies of supersymmetric gauge theories can be derived from supergravity.
The approach applies to both pure and matter-coupled N=1,2 theories.
Establishes a direct connection between gauge anomalies and supergravity solutions.
Abstract
In this note we show how the anomalies of both pure and matter coupled N=1,2 supersymmetric gauge theories describing the low energy dynamics of fractional branes on orbifolds can be derived from supergravity.
