Properties of String Theory on Kaluza-Klein Melvin Background
T.Suyama

TL;DR
This paper explores the characteristics of string theory in a Kaluza-Klein Melvin background, focusing on the effects of closed string tachyon condensation using a linear sigma model approach.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis of string behavior on Kaluza-Klein Melvin backgrounds and examines tachyon condensation effects with a linear sigma model.
Findings
Identification of properties of string theory in Melvin backgrounds
Insights into closed string tachyon condensation dynamics
Application of linear sigma model to analyze background effects
Abstract
We investigate some properties of string theory on Kaluza-Klein Melvin background. We discuss what happens when closed string tachyons in the theory condense, by using a linear sigma model of the Kaluza-Klein Melvin background.
