Noncommutative Geometry: Calculation of the Standard Model Lagrangian
Karen Elsner

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how noncommutative geometry can be used to derive the standard model Lagrangian, highlighting improvements over traditional methods and discussing remaining issues.
Contribution
It provides a novel calculation of the standard model Lagrangian within noncommutative geometry using a simplified 18-parameter variant.
Findings
Enhanced geometric formulation of the standard model
Identification of deviations from physical requirements
Comparison with traditional formulations
Abstract
The calculation of the standard model Lagrangian of classical field theory within the framework of noncommutative geometry is sketched using a variant with 18 parameters. Improvements compared with the traditional formulation are contrasted with remaining deviations from the requirements of physics.
