A General Expression for Symmetry Factors of Feynman Diagrams
C.D. Palmer, M.E. Carrington

TL;DR
This paper presents a universal, simplified formula for calculating symmetry factors of Feynman diagrams across various quantum field theories, streamlining a traditionally complex process.
Contribution
It introduces a general, easy-to-apply formula for symmetry factors applicable to multiple types of quantum field theories, simplifying diagram calculations.
Findings
The formula applies to scalar, spinor QED, scalar QED, and QCD diagrams.
It reduces the computational complexity of symmetry factor calculations.
The method is validated across different theories.
Abstract
The calculation of the symmetry factor corresponding to a given Feynman diagram is well known to be a tedious problem. We have derived a simple formula for these symmetry factors. Our formula works for any diagram in scalar theory ( and interactions), spinor QED, scalar QED, or QCD.
