Kac-Moody Symmetries of IIB Supergravity
Igor Schnakenburg, Peter West

TL;DR
This paper explores the algebraic structure of IIB supergravity, demonstrating its connection to Kac-Moody algebras, particularly E11, which may unify various symmetries in string theory.
Contribution
It formulates IIB supergravity as a non-linear realisation incorporating Kac-Moody algebra E11, suggesting an extended symmetry framework.
Findings
Contains Borel subalgebras of SL(11) and E7
Proposes E11 as an underlying symmetry algebra
Links supergravity to infinite-dimensional Kac-Moody structures
Abstract
We formulate the bosonic sector of IIB supergravity as a non-linear realisation. We show that this non-linear realisation contains the Borel subalgebras of SL(11) and and argue that it can be enlarged so as to be based on the rank eleven Kac-Moody algebra
