Harald Ita, Yaron Oz

TL;DR
This paper employs boundary string field theory to analyze open string tachyon condensation on a three-sphere background modeled by an $SU(2)_k$ WZW theory, computing the exact potential and decay modes.
Contribution
It provides the first exact computation of the tachyon potential on a curved three-sphere background using boundary string field theory.
Findings
Exact tachyon potential computed for the $SU(2)_k$ WZW model.
Identification of decay modes of the tachyon on the three-sphere.
Insights into open string dynamics in curved backgrounds.
Abstract
We use boundary string field theory to study open string tachyon condensation on a three-sphere closed string background. We consider the closed string background described by WZW model in the limit of large . We compute the exact tachyon potential and analyse the decay modes.
