P. M. Petropoulos, S. Ribault (CPHT, Ecole Polytechnique)

TL;DR
This paper investigates the properties of AdS2*S2 D3-branes in AdS3*S3, analyzing fluctuations, classical motions, and the role of spectral flow, combining semi-classical and conformal field theory approaches.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of quadratic fluctuations and classical dynamics of D-branes in AdS backgrounds, integrating semi-classical and conformal field theory methods.
Findings
Quadratic fluctuations match between Dirac-Born-Infeld and conformal field theory.
Classical open string motions are characterized and spectral flow effects are analyzed.
Preliminary insights into D-brane dynamics in AdS spaces are presented.
Abstract
We present some preliminary investigations about the AdS2*S2 D3-branes in AdS3*S3. We analyse the quadratic fluctuations of Dirac-Born-Infeld action around a given semi-classical D-brane configuration and compare them with results obtained by using conformal field theory techniques. We finally study classical motions of open strings attached to those D-branes and analyse the role of the spectral flow in this context.
