Anton A. Gerasimov, Samson L. Shatashvili

TL;DR
This paper explores non-abelian structures in open string field theory, focusing on multi-brane backgrounds and using differential operator algebras to describe non-abelian degrees of freedom.
Contribution
It introduces a simple description of non-abelian degrees of freedom in open string field theory using algebra of differential operators.
Findings
Non-abelian degrees of freedom are characterized by differential operator algebra.
Multi-brane backgrounds are effectively described within this framework.
The approach provides a natural mathematical tool for analyzing non-abelian phenomena.
Abstract
Multi-brane backgrounds are studied in the framework of the background independent open string field theory. A simple description of the non-abelian degrees of freedom is given. Algebra of the differential operators acting on the space of functions on the space-time provides a natural tool for the discussion of this phenomena.
