Codimension zero superembeddings
J.M. Drummond, P.S. Howe

TL;DR
This paper investigates superembeddings with zero bosonic codimension across 3, 4, and 6 dimensions, revealing their off-shell vector multiplet structure and deriving their actions in flat superspace.
Contribution
It demonstrates how to formulate superembeddings with zero codimension using standard vector multiplets and derives their Green-Schwarz and superfield actions.
Findings
Superembeddings with codimension zero correspond to off-shell vector multiplets.
Their self-interactions include a Born-Infeld term.
Explicit action formulas are obtained in flat superspace.
Abstract
Superembeddings which have bosonic codimension zero are studied in 3,4 and 6 dimensions. The worldvolume multiplets of these branes are off-shell vector multiplets in these dimensions, and their self-interactions include a Born-Infeld term. It is shown how they can be written in terms of standard vector multiplets in flat superspace by working in the static gauge. The action formula is used to determine both Green-Schwarz type actions and superfield actions.
