TL;DR
This paper explains how twisted bundles on D-branes with a B field can be modeled using sheaves on stacks and provides an accessible introduction to stacks for physicists.
Contribution
It offers a detailed description of twisted D-brane bundles via sheaves on stacks and introduces stacks to the physics community.
Findings
Twisted bundles are modeled as sheaves on stacks.
Provides an accessible introduction to stacks for physicists.
Clarifies the mathematical structure of D-brane bundles with B fields.
Abstract
In this paper we describe explicitly how the twisted ``bundles'' on a D-brane worldvolume in the presence of a nontrivial B field, can be understood in terms of sheaves on stacks. We also take this opportunity to provide the physics community with a readable introduction to stacks and generalized spaces.
