Enrique Alvarez, Cesar Gomez, Lorenzo Hernandez, Pedro Resco

TL;DR
This paper constructs non-critical bosonic string solutions with linear dilatons and B-fields, free of singularities, and explores their holographic duals to non-supersymmetric field theories, including stability considerations.
Contribution
It presents new non-critical string backgrounds with linear dilatons and B-fields, interpolating between flat space and AdS, with bounded coupling and holographic interpretations.
Findings
Solutions are free of space-time singularities.
String coupling remains bounded everywhere.
Holographic duals correspond to non-supersymmetric field theories.
Abstract
with linear dilaton and non vanishing -field is shown to be a solution of the non critical string beta function equations. A non critical solution interpolating between flat space-time and , with asymptotic linear dilaton and non vanishing -field is also presented. This solution is free of space-time singularities and has got the string coupling constant everywhere bounded. Both solutions admit holographic interpretation in terms of field theories. Closed string tachyon stability is also discussed.
