Response of an electron system to a periodic potential
S. Nagy, K. Sailer

TL;DR
This paper provides a quantum field theoretical analysis of a one-dimensional electron system subjected to a periodic potential, deriving a non-perturbative Lindhard response function.
Contribution
It introduces a non-perturbative calculation of the Lindhard response for electrons in a sinusoidal potential using quantum field theory.
Findings
Derived the Lindhard response function non-perturbatively
Analyzed electron behavior under a sinusoidal potential
Provided insights into electron response in periodic systems
Abstract
We give a quantum field theoretical treatment of a one dimensional electron system with a fixed chemical potential . The non-perturbative Lindhard response function is found for an electron system in a sinusoidal potential.
