Renormalization Group and Dynamics of Supersymmetric Gauge Theories
K. Konishi (U. of Pisa)

TL;DR
This paper reviews the renormalization group behavior and nonperturbative phenomena in supersymmetric gauge theories, highlighting new confinement mechanisms and symmetry breaking in various gauge groups.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of perturbative and nonperturbative beta functions and introduces new mechanisms for confinement and dynamical symmetry breaking in supersymmetric gauge theories.
Findings
New confinement mechanisms identified in SU(n_c), USp(2n_c), and SO(n_c) theories.
Review of perturbative and nonperturbative beta functions.
Insights into nonperturbative dynamics of N=2 and N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories.
Abstract
We discuss questions related to renormalization group and to nonperturbative aspects of non-Abelian gauge theories with N=2 and/or N=1 supersymmetry. Results on perturbative and nonperturbative functions of these theories are reviewed, and new mechanisms of confinement and dynamical symmetry breaking recently found in a class of , and theories are discussed.
