TL;DR
This paper investigates non-supersymmetric string vacua with spacetime variation, revealing conditions under which they resemble supersymmetric F-theory vacua and exploring their properties through D7-brane probes.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of non-supersymmetric string vacua, identifying a limit where they mimic supersymmetric F-theory vacua and establishing a non-supersymmetric enhancon mechanism.
Findings
Identification of a limit where non-supersymmetric vacua resemble supersymmetric F-theory vacua
Establishment of a non-supersymmetric analogue of the enhancon mechanism
Analysis of properties of these vacua via D7-brane probes
Abstract
We present a detailed analysis of non-supersymmetric spacetime varying string vacua which can lead to an exponential hierarchy between the electroweak and the gravitational scales. In particular, we identify a limit in which these vacua can be interpreted as supersymmetric vacua of F-theory. Furthermore, we study the properties of these solutions as seen by -brane probes and establish a non-supersymmetric analogue of the enhancon mechanism.
