TL;DR
This paper derives a large N duality in type IIA string theory with N=1 supersymmetry from geometric considerations in M-theory, focusing on M-theory on G2 manifolds and an S^3 flop.
Contribution
It provides a geometric derivation of a large N duality in type IIA strings using M-theory embeddings and phase structure analysis.
Findings
Derived the duality from M-theory geometric considerations
Connected G2 holonomy manifolds with string dualities
Clarified the role of S^3 flop in the duality
Abstract
We show how a recently proposed large duality in the context of type IIA strings with supersymmetry in 4 dimensions can be derived from purely geometric considerations by embedding type IIA strings in M-theory. The phase structure of M-theory on holonomy manifolds and an flop are the key ingredients in this derivation.
