S. P. de Alwis, A. T. Flournoy

TL;DR
This paper explores noncommutative soliton solutions related to D-branes, analyzing their construction from lower-dimensional branes and discussing a new solution-generating method in the context of tachyon condensation.
Contribution
It introduces a novel interpretation of noncommutative solitons as D-branes built from lower-dimensional branes and comments on an innovative solution-generating technique.
Findings
Noncommutative solitons can be interpreted as D-branes from lower-dimensional branes
A new solution-generating technique is discussed
Implications for tachyon condensation are analyzed
Abstract
We investigate and interpret a large class of soliton solutions found in noncommutative tachyon condensation. These constructions make extensive use of the idea that Dp-branes may be built out of lower dimensional branes. Finally we comment on a recently proposed solution generating technique.
