Scale Invariance and the AdS/CFT Correspondence
Adel M. Awad, Clifford V. Johnson

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that certain rotating black holes in higher-dimensional AdS spaces correspond to boundary field theories that are scale invariant but not conformally invariant, providing insights into the AdS/CFT correspondence.
Contribution
It provides explicit examples of non-trivial boundary field theories that are scale invariant but lack conformal invariance, derived from Kerr-AdS black holes in five and seven dimensions.
Findings
Boundary theories are scale invariant but not conformally invariant.
Explicit calculations of actions and stress-energy tensors support the findings.
Examples extend understanding of the AdS/CFT correspondence in higher dimensions.
Abstract
Using the AdS/CFT correspondence, we show that the Anti-de Sitter (AdS) rotating (Kerr) black holes in five and seven dimensions provide us with examples of non-trivial field theories which are scale, but not conformally invariant. This is demonstrated by our computation of the actions and the stress-energy tensors of the four and six dimensional field theories residing on the boundary of these Kerr-AdS black holes spacetimes.
