RR charges of D2-branes in group manifold and Hanany-Witten effect
Takahiro Kubota, Jian-Ge Zhou

TL;DR
This paper explores how the Hanany-Witten effect in 10D backgrounds is represented through Cardy boundary states in SU(2) group manifolds, linking RR charges of D2-branes to brane dynamics.
Contribution
It demonstrates the encoding of the Hanany-Witten effect in boundary states and interprets RR Page D0 charges of spherical D2-branes within this framework.
Findings
RR Page D0 charges are linked to brane contraction processes.
Hanany-Witten effect is represented in boundary state formalism.
D2-brane charges depend on contraction to e or -e.
Abstract
By exploiting the correspondence between the Cardy boundary state in SU(2) group manifold and the BPS D3-brane configuration in the full asymptotically flat geometry of NS5-branes, we show that the Hanany-Witten effect in 10D background is encoded in the Cardy boundary states. The two RR Page D0 charges of the -th spherical D2-brane due to the contraction to or () is interpreted, and attributed to the Hanany-Witten effect.
