Noncommutative Geometry from String Theory: Annulus Corrections
Mark Laidlaw

TL;DR
This paper introduces a method to compute one-loop corrections to noncommutativity parameters in open string theory with background fields, revealing that annulus corrections mirror disk results up to a tachyon-dependent constant.
Contribution
It provides a novel approach to calculate annulus corrections in noncommutative geometry arising from string theory, extending previous disk-level analyses.
Findings
Annulus corrections share the same structure as disk results.
A constant factor due to the tachyon modifies the corrections.
The method reproduces known disk-level results.
Abstract
We develop a method in which it is possible to calculate one loop corrections to the noncommutativity parameter for open strings in a background F field. We reproduce known disk level results, and find that annulus corrections give the same structure multiplied by a constant due to the tachyon.
