A non-Abelian Chern-Simons term for non-BPS D-branes
Bert Janssen, Patrick Meessen

TL;DR
This paper introduces a U(N) invariant Chern-Simons term for non-BPS D-branes, enabling their coupling to all RR p-form fields while ensuring T-duality compatibility.
Contribution
It proposes a novel Chern-Simons term for non-BPS D-branes that incorporates new interaction terms consistent with symmetry and duality requirements.
Findings
The new term maintains U(N) invariance.
It ensures compatibility with T-duality.
Non-BPS D-branes couple to all RR p-form fields through this term.
Abstract
We propose a Chern-Simons term for N coinciding non-BPS D-branes. Demanding full U(N) invariance and compatibility with T-duality, it is shown that it is necessary to introduce new interaction terms, through which the non-BPS D-branes couple to all p-form RR fields.
