Takeo Inami, Yorinori Saito, Masayoshi Yamamoto

TL;DR
This paper constructs an { N}=4 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma model in three dimensions, demonstrating its finiteness at leading order in the 1/N expansion, which advances understanding of supersymmetric quantum field theories.
Contribution
It introduces a new { N}=4 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma model in three dimensions and proves its finiteness at leading order in the 1/N expansion.
Findings
The model is finite at leading order in 1/N.
The effective action was explicitly evaluated.
The construction expands understanding of supersymmetric models.
Abstract
We construct the {\cal N}=4 supersymmetric nonlinear sigma model in three dimensions which can be expanded in 1/N. We evaluate the effective action at leading order in the 1/N expansion and show the finiteness of the model to this order.
